„I SHOT MY HEART“
Solo Exhibition 2021 @ SVARNA, Aegina, Greece
A Unique Light
The artist spent five years on the island of Aegina, which is only three-quarters of an hour away from Athens' port of Piraeus and has a long history of artists who have found inspiration and leisure here.
Even now many artists who live and work on Aegina today cherish the island for the quality of its natural light, which lends objects a magical veneer, especially at sunrise and sunset.
It's no wonder, then, that German photographer Stefan Guido Schmidt immediately fell in love with this island and used its special light for many of his photo shoots. As a tribute for his time on his favorite greek island, he presented a special selection of photographs in his exhibition "I SHOT MY LOVE" in a listed building in the port of Agina.
